Question

won't the loss of energy in an LC oscillator result in the oscillations becoming damped?

Open in App
Solution

Due to the presence of resistance in the circuit there is some loss of energy, this causes damped oscillation in the LC oscillator. So, to obtain undamped oscillations, the energy loss is compensated in proper phase.
