Who are the Massai?
The pastoral Masai occupy the Narok and Kajiado districts of Kenya
Language- Olmaa language
clothing-: Metals are used in the arm and leg bands and bracelets and anklet bangles. Ebony is favoured for the olrinka clubs every Maasai man will carry as a sign of his status in the community.Ear-rings, necklaces, belts, often have a leather backing for the beads and cowries used.
Food- Traditionally the most important food for the Maasai was milk, and probably remains so today
housing - The basic economic and social unit is the enkang , a semi-permanent settlement of several families pasturing their stock together, perhaps ten to twenty huts surrounded by a thorn or leleshuafence into which the livestock are driven at night.
Belief- Enk-ai is recognized as the creator, and is prayed to by both men and women.
