Industrial pollution is the pollution that arises from the wastes produced by industries. It has adversely affected the environment. The 5 ways by which industries have affected our environment are:

1. Waste water released from the industries causes water pollution and thus death of aquatic organisms.

2. Smoke released from the industries causes air pollution.

3. The solid wastes like pieces of metals, plastic which are dumped in the soil have caused soil pollution.

4. The machines in the industries are important source of noise pollution.

5. These release the green house gases like CO₂ etc. which have resulted in global warming.
