Our solar system, apart from the Sun and the planets, consists some other members also, which are as follows:
Natural Satellite : Natural satellites move around the planets. All planets have their natural satellite except Mercury and Venus. The Moon is the Earth's natural satellite.
Asteroids : Asteroids are the rocky objects that move around the Sun. Most asteroids lie in a belt between Mars and Jupiter and is called as the asteroids belt. They appear in different sizes.
Comets : Comets are the pieces of rocks, dust, ice and frozen gases. It revolves around the sun in very large orbits. Halley's comet is one of the most famous comet.
Meteroids : Materoids are small pieces of rocks or metal, that floats in outer space. There are millions of materoids in the solar system, which sometimes enter into the Earth's atmosphere with a very high speed. Due to its high speed and Earth's gravity, as it falls to the Earth's surface, it shines brightly and is known as the shooting star.
Meteor : Meteor appears as a bright bands of light at night in the sky. It occurs, when materoids enter the Earth's atmosphere.
