Write the function of adenosine deaminase enzyme. State the cause of ADA deficiency in humans. Mention a possible permenant cure for a ADA deficiency patient.

Adenosine deaminase or ADA or sometimes called adenosine aminohydrolase is required for immune system to function. It is necessary for development and maintenance of immune system in humans. Thus, deficiency of this enzyme makes the immune system weak.
ADA deficiency is a disorder which is caused by the deletion of gene that code for this enzyme.
The possible permanent cure for this disorder is, isolation of gene from ADA producing bone marrow cells and introducing them into cells at early embryonic stages
