you have said that second electron can exchange energy with third electron but third electron cannot do so with second electron. Why is it so. After all exchange takes place when both electrons exchange their energy

The exchange of third electron with second electron, will be the same process when second electron exchanges with third electron, so it is not necessary to count the exchange as a separate exchange.
