Solution

Reversible changes:

  • Any change is known as a reversible change in which the process can be reversed or can undergo temporary conversion.
  • Processes like melting, boiling, evaporation, freezing, condensation, and dissolution are examples of reversible changes.

Irreversible changes:

  • Irreversible changes are known as the process to have permanent changes, in which the reactants react to form a new compound that cannot be reversed otherwise.
  • Heating, burning, mixing, and powdering are examples of irreversible changes.

Making of dough from flour and water:

  • The given example can be classified as an irreversible change.
  • The reason for this can be explained as, once the dough has been made from flour and water, the process cant reverse back to give the original products.

Rolling the dough to make a chapati :

  • The given example can be classified as a reversible change.
  • The reason for this can be explained as, once the chapati has been made by rolling the dough, the process can be reversed back to give the original products i.e dough.

Baking the rolled chapati on a pan:

  • The given example can be classified as an irreversible change.
  • The reason for this can be explained as, once we bake the rolled chapati on a pan, the process cant reverse back to give the original products.

Grinding of dried chapati in a grinder :

  • The given example can be classified as an irreversible change.
  • The reason for this can be explained as, once we Grind the dried chapati in a grinder, the process cant reverse back to give the original products,i.e dried chapati.

Hence, the given examples have been identified above as the changes that can be reversed or that cannot be reversed.
