Question

Paras make a cuboid by sides 21cm ,18cm ,14cm. How many such cuboids will be needed to form a cube ?

Open in App
Solution

Volume of the cube of sides 21 cm, 18 cm, 14 cm

= 21 cm × 18 cm × 14 cm = (3×7×3×3×2×2×7) cm3

Now, prime factor 2 and 7 do not form a triplet.

If we multiply this expression by 2×7 = 14, then it will become a perfect cube.

Hence, 14 cuboids of 21 cm, 18 cm, 14 cm are required to form a cube.
