Solution

Find a number of cuboids required to form a cube.

Given, that the dimensions of a cuboid are 5cm,2cm,5cm

The volume of the cuboid =length×breadth×height

Volume=5×2×5=52×2cm3

As there are two 5's and one 2, to make the volume of a cuboid as a cube number we need to multiply it by 5×2×2

Newly formed cube =52×21×5×2×2=53×23cm3

Number of cuboids required =VolumeofcubeVolumeofcuboid

Number of cuboids required =53×2352×2=5×2×2=20

Hence, 20 cuboids are needed to make a perfect cube.
