Salivary glands are a group of bodies that secrete saliva in our mouth. It can only be discovered in mammals. It is an exocrine gland that secretes drugs outside of the body or within a cavity of the body. Saliva includes multiple chemicals with water that regulate the pH in the mouth, including mucus, salts, antibacterial substances, enzymes and chemicals. There are three kinds of salivary glands: parotid, sublingual, and sub mandibular. Each of them is properly named after the region in the oral cavity where they are situated. The biggest salivary gland is the parotid glands. Each gland is about 6 cm long and 3-4 cm wide, and up to 30 grams can be weighed. They're within every one of our cheeks. They are present infront and below the ears. These glands secrete protein-rich fluid which is a suspension of alpha-amylase enzyme
