Paul, Lara, and Carry are sitting on the boundary of a circular field such that each one of them is sitting 203 m away from the other. Paul pushes a toy car towards Lara. How far is the car from Carry when it is midway? (Assume that the car is traveling in a straight line.)

Let's understand the situation with the help of a figure.

We have to find the distance CD.
ABC is an equilateral triangle.
So, AD is half of AB.

Using the Pythagorean theorem,
In le ACD,
CD2 + AD2 = AC2

AD = 103
AC = 203

CD2 + (103)2 = (203)2

CD2 + 300 = 1200

CD2 = 1200 – 300 = 900

CD = 900

CD = 30 m
