The notes are in the ratio 2:3:5,

Let the number of ₹1000 notes be $2x$, $\Rightarrow$ Amount = ₹ $2000x$

Number of ₹ 500 notes = $3x$, $\Rightarrow$ Amount = ₹ $1500x$

Number of ₹100 notes = $5x$, $\Rightarrow$ Amount = ₹ $500x$

Total amount = $2000x+1500x+500x=5,00,000$ (Given)

$4000x=5,00,000$

$x=125$

Number of ₹ 1000 notes = $2\times 125=250$
