Question

People usually keep Angethi/burning coal in their closed rooms during the winter season. Why is it advised to keep the door open?

Solution

Burning of Angethi or coal produces harmful gases like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, etc. As the room is closed, no much air will enter inside the room. Continuous discharge of such gases reduce the flow of oxygen in the closed room and can cause suffocation. Such prolonged exposure can even cause death also. Therefore, it is advised to keep the door open.
