Steps for the division are as follows:

1).$8$ is $2$(deficiency) less than $10$(nearest power of $10$).

2). Split Dividend into 2 parts (Quotient & Remainder) in such a way Remainder to have the same number of digits as that of Divisor. Here - $1$.

3). Take $1^{st}$ digit – $2$ down as it is.

4). Multiply the above deficiency $2$ with the $2$ and put

below $4$ and add them column-wise. We get, $28$.

5). Take $8$ in the above-obtained $28$. Multiply it with deficit $2$, then put $16$ below $3$. Add column-wise. We get $19$

6).$19>8$ hence, divide it. We get $2$ as quotient and $3$ as remainder. Now, carry forward the $2$ to $28$.
