Dear Student,
The petals are brightly coloured to attract the insects and birds. So the insects and birds are considered as the biotic agents of pollination. The entomophilous and ornithophilous flowers are usually brightly coloured and of good odour to attracts the pollinators. So these plants are adapted for cross pollination, since pollinators visit on different flowers there by carrying the pollen grains along with them.
