Total area of a square garden of side 12 feet = 12×12=144 square feet

Area of the flower bed of side 4 feet = 4×4=16 square feet

Remaining area = 144 – 16 = 128 square feet

The remaining area is divided into four equal sections.
Area of each section = 128÷4=32 square feet

This means that the area of each section with vegetables is 32 square feet.
Thus, the area of the section with potatoes is 32 square feet.
