Solution

The correct option is C temperature and pressure
Matter exists in three states, namely, solids, liquids or gases. Matter can change from one state to another by either heating or cooling. For example, if ice is heated it changes to water and on heating water it changes to steam. This happens because the heat supplied breaks the intermolecular forces of attraction between the molecules. Liquids and gases have weaker intermolecular forces of attraction as compared to solids. Their molecules are farther apart. If pressure is increased on a gas, its molecules are brought in close contact with each other. The attractive forces eventually become strong enough to hold the molecules together, and the gas condensate to the liquid state. So both pressure and temperature contribute to change in state of matter.
