Solution

  • Muga, Kosa and Tassar are the types of silk, whereas cashmere is a type of wool. Hence, cashmere is the odd one in series (i).
  • Larva, pupa and silk moth are the stages in the life cycle of a silkworm, whereas tadpole is not a stage in the life cycle of a silkworm. Tadpole is the larva stage of a frog and not a silkworm. Hence, the tadpole is the odd one in the series (ii).
  • Patanwadi, Marwari, and Lohi are the breeds of wool-yielding sheep in India whereas, pashmina is a type of wool obtained from Cashmere goats. Therefore, pashmina is the odd one out in the series (iii)
  • Among all the options, in option B, all the odd ones from series (i), (ii) and (iii) are present. Hence, option B is the correct answer.
