Solution

Dear student.

Pancreas is considered as both endocrine gland and exocrine gland i.e. it is a part of both the hormonal and digestive system of the body respectively. So, it is also called heterocrine gland.

Pancreas is regulated by neural and endocrine system. Exocrine portion of the pancreas is controlled primarily by the vagus nerve, hormones secretin and CCK, enteric nervous system etc.

Regards.
