Solution

The correct option is C Marginal
Mimosa pudica L. (Mimosaceae) also referred to as touch me not, live and die, shame plant and humble plant. It belongs to family Mimosidae. Here gynoecium is monocarpellary, unilocular with ovules on marginal placentation, ovary superior, style filiform. The leaves are bipinnately compound, with one or two pinnae pairs, and 1026 leaflets per pinna. The petioles are also prickly. Pedunculate (stalked) pale pink or purple flower heads arise from the leaf axils in mid summer with more and more flowers as the plant gets older. The globose to ovoid heads are 810 mm in diameter (excluding the stamens). Axile, parietal and basal placentation is absent in Mimosa pudica. Therefore, the correct answer is option C.
