Plants do not move from one place to another but they do show movenments in their leaves, flowers etc, for example
solar tracking of leaves to maximize light capture.
tropism are plant movements directed towards or away from a stimulus. some familiar tropisms are-

  • phototropism-movement towards light.
  • gravitropism and geo tropism-movement related to gravitational field, or movement to the centre of earth.
  • thigmotropism- plants movement in response physical contact.
