Solution
The correct option is A Turgid Plant cells dipped in distilled water will become turgid because distilled water has very less number of solutes and high concentration of solvent so it is considered as hypotonic as compared to the intracellular environment. A hypotonic solution has more concentration of solvent molecules than the fluid inside the cell so the solvent molecules moves inside the cell from the region of higher concentration to the lower concentration by the process of endosmosis. The cell swells, increases in size and finally becomes turgid.
