Question
Plants need to be watered more often in summer. Give reason.
Open in App
Solution
In summers, the rate of transpiration is high because of the:
High temperatures
Increased period of exposure to sun
Humidity in air is low
Wind speed is also generally more due to air being heated and rising up.
Increased rates of transpiration means that the plants lose more water and thus need to be watered more during summers.
