Plaster of Paris is a substance that is most commonly used for sculpting materials and in gauze bandages. Plaster of Paris is also referred to as Gypsum plaster. The chemical formula of Plaster of Paris is written as ${CaSO}_{4} \cdot H_{2} O$ .
The Plaster of Paris is calcium sulfate, and when the water of crystallization is added to it, gypsum is formed, which is a hard material.
Moisture can affect the Plaster of Paris by slowing the setting of the plaster due to hydration, it should be stored in a moisture-proof container.
So Plaster of Paris should be held in a sealed container.
