1. Plastids are double membrane structures exclusively found in a plant cell and contain pigments, starch and oil drops.
2. Plastids are categorized into three types : Chloroplast, Chromoplast and Leucoplast.

4. Leucoplasts are colourless which helps in storage of food material.
5. Chromoplast contains fat soluble red, yellow and orange pigments like anthocyanin, carotenoids etc. which are responsible for the colours of flowers and fruits.
