Solution

The given fractions are

5/4,2/3,6/8,8/5,9/2
Consider the denominators of each fraction.

They are 4,3,8,5,2.

LCM of these numbers is the least number which is divisible by all these numbers. By writing the tables of each one, we get that least number as 120.

We find LCM in order to make the denominator same so that we can arrange them in ascending order

So multiply the denominator of each fraction by suitable number to get 120

1)(5/4)*(30/30) =150/120
2)(2/3)*(40/40) =80/120
3)(6/8)*(15/15)=90/120
4)(8/5)*(24/24)=192/120
5)(9/2)*(60/60)=540/120

Now these can be arranged in ascending order as

80/120<90/120<150/120<192/120<540/120

2/3<6/8<5/4<8/5<9/2
