Plot the graph of f(x−1) if the graph of f(x) looks like
f(x) becomes zero at x=0
Let f′(x)=f(x−1), this function will become zero when x=1. For the same value of y, lets find the value of x, for f(x) and f′(x)
y1 = f(x) = f′(x)
⇒ y1 = f(x1) = f(x2 − 1)
⇒ x2 = x1 + 1
This means, f′(x) will attain the same value y after 1 unit. So the graph will be shifted 1 unit to the right.
