Politcs based on Caste identity is not good for democracy because : It leads to formation of stereotypes and discrimination In a country like India with the practice of caste hierarchy for thousands of years, caste identity leads to prohibiting those belonging to lowers caste basic human rights and dignity Caste identity may lead to social stigma leading to lower self-esteem of those affected It may affect adversely in the holistic development of the country.
