The transfer of pollen grains from anther of a stamen to stigma of a pistil is called pollination. It can occur in two ways
(i) Self-pollination (transfer occur in same flower or another flower of same plant) and
(ii) Cross -pollination (transfer occuring between flowers of two separate but similar plants and brought about by insects, water and wind who are the agents of pollination.
