Pollution from animal excreta and organic waste from the kitchen can be most profitably in minimized by:
Vermiculture
Using them for producing biogas
Biogas can be prepared from animal excreta and organic waste from the kitchen. It is the most profitable way the pollution from these things can be controlled as useful biogas is produced which can be used as a source of energy.
Vermiculture means artificial rearing or cultivation of worms (earthworms). Earthworms eat cow dung or farmyard manure along with other farm wastes and pass it through their body and in the process convert it into vermicompost. The municipal wastes; non-toxic solid and liquid waste of the industries and household garbage can also be converted into vermicompost in the same manner.
A biofertilizer is a substance which contains living microorganisms which, when applied to seeds, plant surfaces, or soil, colonize the rhizosphere or the interior of the plant and promotes growth by increasing the supply or availability of primary nutrients to the host plant.
