The correct option is A 14 cm below
GIVEN:
perpendicular distance from plane surface h=10 cm
thickness of glass slab t=3 cm
refractive index of material μ=3/2

For refraction through glass slab,

happ=μ hreal

happ=32×10=15cm

Other end of the glass slab is made reflecting (plane mirror).

So, apparent distance of the object from the mirror =15 cm+3 cm=18 cm.

Thus, mirror will from image at 18 cm below it or 21 cm below the plane surface.

Now again for image, when viewed from object side,
dapp=drealμ

dapp=213/2=14 cm.
i.e Image will appear 14 cm below plane surface.

Hence, (a) is the correct option.
