Water moves from high potential to lower potential. Sucrose solution has a higher potential potato slice has lower potential so the solution moves from higher concentration into low concentration due to this reason the concentration of water in the solution decreases and so solution becomes more concentrated since the mass of solute per unit volume increases so the density of solution increases.So, the answer is 'less than the solute potential of sucrose solution'.
