In figure,

PQ=10 cm, PR=24 cm

Let QR be x cm.

In right angled triangle PQR,

By Pythagoras theorem,

Square of the hypotenuse is equal to sum of the squares of the other two sides.

(Hypotenuse)2=(Base)2+(Perpendicular)2

(QR)2=(PQ)2+(PR)2

x2=(10 cm)2+(24 cm)2

x2=100 cm2+576 cm2=676 cm2

x=676 cm2=26 cm

Thus, the length of QR is 26 cm.
