As we know that, $1 km = 1000 m$ and $1 m = \frac{1}{1000} km$ . $[0.5 m a r k]$

Distance between home and temple $= 300 m = \frac{300}{1000} k m = 0.3 km$ $[0.5 m a r k]$
Similarly, distance between temple and school $\Rightarrow 495 m = \frac{495}{1000} = 0.495 km$ $[0.5 m a r k]$

$∴$ Total distance travelled by Prateek $= 0.3 + 0.495 = 0.795 km$ $[0.5 m a r k]$
