The major drawbacks of SMS Language are the ways in which it spoils spelling skills, leading to a high chance of developing grammatical errors, cause the problems of communication like misunderstanding, the paucity of time, clearance of the sentence, etc. Thus it will definitely destroy the beauty of the English Language. The user of SMS destroys all the elements of English language like grammar, spelling and syntax. Students have forgotten the value of vocabulary. They convey their messages through symbols which are easily misinterpreted leading to misunderstanding. Moreover, it is not an art form, and will definitely ruin the linguistic beauty of the English language.
