Acidified $K_{2}C{r}_2{O}_7$ converted secondary alcohol into ketone. This is the general method of preparation method of preparation of diethyl ketone.
$\left(ii\right)$ Preparation of Acetophenone:

The anhydrous calcium benzaote and dry calcium acetate are mixed and this mixture is introduced into an iron tube closed at one end and attached by a long air condenser to a receiver. The tube is heated strongly. The product is acetophenone.
