Pressure is determined as force per unit area of the surface.The SI unit of pressure,pascal is as shown below:

If mass of air at sea level is 1034 g cm-2 , calculate the pressure in pascal

Mass = 1034g = 1.034 kg
Force = mg = 1.034×9.81 N = 10.143 N
area = 1 cm² = 1×10⁻⁴ m²

Pressure = F/A = 10.134 / 1×10⁻⁴ N/m² = 1.013×10⁵ N/m² = 1.013×10⁵ Pa

So pressure is 1.013×10⁵ Pasca
