P = Priya’s age

F = father’s age

3 x P = F

2 x (P+16) = F+16

2P + 32 -16 = F

2P + 16 = F

2P +16 = 3 x P

2P + 16 - 2P = 3P - 2P

16 = P

Solving for P, P = 16

Therefore, Priya = 16, father = 48
