Solution

The correct option is C Rs. 416
Length of rectangle =6m
Breadth of rectangle carpet =2m
Area of 1 rectangle 6m×2m=12m2
Area of 4 rectangles=4×12m2=48m2
Cost of carpeting 1m2 area of rectangle =Rs. 6
Cost of carpeting 48m2 area of rectangle =Rs.6×48=Rs.288
Side of square =(62)=4m
Area of square =4m×4m=16m2
Cost of carpeting 1m2 area of square =Rs.8
Cost of carpeting 16m2 area of square
=Rs.(8×16)=Rs.128
Total amount paid by Priya
=Rs.288+Rs.128=Rs.416
