Solution

The correct option is C Reductive

Photosynthesis is an oxidation-reduction process where one substance is oxidized and the other is reduced.

In this process, H2O is oxidized to O2 in light reaction and CO2 is reduced to (CH2O)n in dark reaction using assimilatory power (ATP and NADPH) of light reaction.

The net reaction of Calvin cycle or C3 cycle is :

6RUBP + 6CO2 + 18 ATP + 12NADPH 6RUBP + C6H12O6 + 18ADP + 12 NADP+ + 18Pi

Hence, the correct answer is 'Reductive'.
