(1) electric field lines always originate from positive charge and terminates to negative charge.
(2) electric field lines never cross each other if they are intersecting then they are showing two directions of electric field which is not possible.
(3)electric field lines never pass through a conducting surface.
(4)electric field lines are always normal to the conducting surface.
(5) electric field lines are always present in open loop.
