We have to prove that 3cos1x=cos1(4x33x)
First consider RHS, cos1(4x33x)
Let us take x=cosθ, we know that cos(3θ)=4cos3θ3cosθ
cos1(4x33x)=cos1(4cos3θ3cosθ)=cos1(cos(3θ))=3θ
θ=cos1x, cos1(4x33x)=3cos1x
LHS=RHS
