$\frac{{\sin }^2\theta }{\cos \theta }+\cos \theta$

$=\frac{{\sin }^2\theta +{\cos }^2\theta }{\cos \theta }$

$=\frac{1}{\cos \theta }$ [ Since ${\sin }^2\theta +{\cos }^2\theta =1$]

$=\sec \theta$.
