Prove that tan(180-x)=-tan(x)

We know the identity

tan(A-B)=tanAtanB1+tanA×tanB

Now we will substituteA=180 and B=x in the above identity we get

tan(180-x)=tan180tanx1+(tan180)×(tanx)

We have learnt that tan180=0

so we get the above equation as

tan(180-x)=0tanx1+0×tanx

tan(180-x)=-tan(x)

Hence Proved
