Let the points be A(-2,5) B(0,1) C(2,-3)
Points are collinear if the slope of AB = slope of BC
slope of AB = $\frac{1-5}{0+2}$ = $\frac{-4}{2}$= -2

Slope of BC = $\frac{-3-1}{2-0}$ = $\frac{-4}{2}$= -2
Slope of AB = Slope of BC
Hence the points are collinear.
