Provide a brief description of the right of women with regard to property after the amendment to the Hindu Succession Act, 1956 in 2005.

The Hindu Succession Amendment Act, 2005 was a much needed change made to the original Act enacted in 1956. Before the amendment, the Act only allowed sons to inherit the agricultural land of their fathers. After it, however:
(a) Daughters and their mothers could get an equal share of the land in question.
(b) Women now enjoyed their independent status with equal rights.
