Ions are even not present in pure water. We can make water conductive byadding drops of Sulphuric Acid. Pure Water can't conduct electricity because ithas no free ionsAcids dissociate to produce ions which in turn increase conductivity. ... Adding anacid makes the water conduct electricity.
