  1. Human beings produce sound by using the voice box which is called the larynx.
  2. The voicebox is situated at the upper end of the windpipe. It seems to be as a bump when we swallow something and can be sensed when we placed fingers on the throat
  3. Sound is produced by the vibrations of vocal cords.
  4. Hence, the hard bump is called the voice box (larynx) .
