Solution

Differences between Thermoplastic and Thermosetting plastic:

Thermoplastic

Thermosetting plastic

1.So basically this is a type of plastic which can be synthesized by the process of polymerization.1.These are the plastics which can be synthesized by the condensation polymerization.
2.This type of plastic can easily be processed by the injection molding, blow molding by the use of heat etc.2.This type of plastic can not be molded, instead on applying the force or the heat it can broken.
3.In thermoplastics there would be presence of the secondary bonds between the molecular chains.3.In the thermosetting plastics there would be the presence of primary bonds between the molecular chains and so are held together by the strong cross links.
4.These plastics will have the low melting point as well as the low tensile strength.4.These plastics will have the high melting point as well as the high tensile strength.
5.They are found to be recyclable in nature.5.They are found to be non-recyclable in nature.
6.Example: Used for the manufacturing of toys, combs, containers etc.6.Example: Used for the manufacturing of the electrical switches, cooking utensils, kitchenware etc.
