Fossil fuel are available in limited stock. With the increase in population their consumption has increased. So rate of consumption is very high as compared to the formation of fossils. so it is important to harness non conventional source of energy


Use of convectional source of energy (coal, petroleum)causes pollution . To reduce pollution, non convectional source of energy is essential.
